The Academic Senate of the Faculty is a representative self-governing academic body of the Faculty, which decides or co-decides on the organisation and activities of the Faculty in accordance with the Higher Education Act and in accordance with the Internal Regulations of Charles University and the internal regulations of the Faculty of Humanities of Charles University.

• As of 10 Apeil 2024, M. Novotná resigned as Senator for Academics. She was replaced by the first elected Academic Staff Alternate, M. Pražáková Seligová, with a term of office until 31 January 2025.

• The meeting scheduled for 4 April was cancelled. The next meeting of the AS FHS UK will be held on Thursday, 18 April 2024 at 16.00. The form of the meeting will be specified.

• At the meeting of the AS FH CU on 7 March, the application for accreditation of the doctoral study programme in Social Work was discussed and the Senate expressed its opinion on the planned partial change to the Financial Management Rules of the Charles University.

• M. Plass resigned as Student Senator as of February 8, 2024. She was replaced by the second elected student alternate, M. Kralert, with a term ending January 31, 2025.

• The meeting of the AS FH CU on 8 February was a constituent meeting and a new board was elected.

  J. Wohlmuth Markupová was again elected as the President of the Senate. T. Chavalková Badurová was re-elected Vice-President for the student chamber. J. Tuček was elected as the new Vice-President for the Academic Staff Chamber.

  Furthermore, approval was given for the appointment of new members of the Disciplinary Board of FH CU, the Senate also approved the Plan of Implementation of the Strategic Plan of the Faculty of Humanities of Charles University for 2024 and discussed the draft text of the Dean's measures on the framework principles of career development, support and evaluation of academic and scientific staff and lecturers at the Faculty of Humanities of Charles University.
