Disciplinary Code for Students ****************************************************************************************** * ****************************************************************************************** *========================================================================================= * Disciplinary Code for Students of the Faculty of Humanities of Charles University *========================================================================================= Under sections 27 (1) (b) and 33 (2) (e) of Act No. 111/1998 Sb., to regulate higher educa and to change and amend other laws (“the Higher Education Act”), as amended, and under the of the Faculty of Humanities of Charles University, as amended, the Academic Senate of the Humanities of Charles University has adopted the following Disciplinary Code for Students Humanities of Charles University as its internal regulation: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Article 1: Introductory Provisions ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Infringements of disciplinary rules by students enrolled in the Faculty of Humanities of C (“the Faculty”, “the University”), the imposition of sanctions for such infringements, the proceedings, and the details on the Disciplinary Board of the Faculty (“the Board”) are re Higher Education Act, the Administrative Procedure Code and the Disciplinary Code for Stud University. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Article 2: Disciplinary Commission of the Faculty ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1.The Board has six members; half of the members are students. Two students and two member academic staff are alternate members. 2.The term of office of the members of the Board is two years and begins with their appoin 3.Membership in the Board and the position of an alternate member terminates: a.upon expiry of the term of office; b.before expiry of the term of office: i.upon termination of membership in the Academic Community of the Faculty; iion the date of delivery of the Board membership resignation or resignation the posit alternate member; iiupon removal of the member of the Board by the Dean upon prior approval of the Acade the Faculty. 4.Where a position of a member of the Board falls vacant under (3) (a) and (b), the altern determined by the Dean takes the vacancy for the time remaining to the end of the term o ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Article 3: Rules of Procedure of the Commission ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1.If the Board receives a proposal for the commencement of disciplinary proceedings with o members or alternate members, such member or alternate member is excluded from considera deciding this matter. 2.The Board decides by secret ballot. 3.The Dean’s office provides assistance to the Board. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Article 4: Transitional Provisions ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1.Disciplinary proceedings started before the date of legal effect of this Code will be co this Code and the Disciplinary Code for Students of Charles University. 2.The term of office of the Disciplinary Board appointed before the date of legal effect o not affected. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Article 5: Final Provisions ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1.The Disciplinary Code for Students of the Faculty approved by the Academic Senate of the June 2008 is hereby repealed. 2.This Code was approved by the Academic Senate of the Faculty on 20 April 2017. 3.This Code comes into legal force on the date of its approval by the Academic Senate of t 4.This Code becomes effective on the first day of the calendar month following the date of force.
