            Petr Špecián works as an assistant professor at Charles University and Prague University o

            Business. His research explores topics at the intersection of philosophy, economics, and t
            sciences. He focuses on the role of experts in democratic society and institutional mechan
            collective decision-making.


            His recent monograph, Behavioral Political Economy and Democratic Theory: Fortifying Democ
            Digital Age (Routledge, 2022), addresses how to make democracy more resilient in the face 

            posed by human cognitive limitations combined with modern information technologies. At the
            Humanities, he leads a research group examining institutional transformations under the ex
