Workshop Thinking the "other" from the Historical Perspective ****************************************************************************************** * ****************************************************************************************** The international workshop titled Thinking the “other” from the Historical Perspective [ U fhs.cuni.cz/FHSENG-510.html?event=28005&lang=en"] was held on Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd S bringing together young scholars from Charles University and various international institu Participants included emerging researchers from the US, UK, India, San Marino, Turkey, Bel Estonia, Lithuania, and Hungary, among other countries. This gathering aimed to foster a r interdisciplinary discussion on the historical treatment of the “Other” in diverse context The workshop featured more than 30 young scholars who presented their research in 11 diffe These presentations explored a wide range of historical perspectives, with each session ge provoking discussions. The participants engaged in lively debates, offering critical insig connections between historical experiences of marginalization, identity, and the concept o The event was further enriched by the insightful contributions of two distinguished schola Storchová and Veronika Čapská, whose interventions provided valuable academic guidance and the discussions. Their participation ensured that the dialogues between the young research productive and intellectually rigorous. The workshop not only provided a platform for academic exchange but also fostered a sense and collaboration among scholars from different regions and research backgrounds.
