            The Faculty of Humanities offers the possibility of obtaining a scholarship to all student

            a follow-up Master’s programme taught in a foreign language (starting in the academic year

            The Faculty of Humanities rewards its most successful students by giving the top 10% of th

            in the class a merit-based scholarship (Scholarship for Outstanding Academic Achievement [
            fhs.cuni.cz/FHSENG-1055.html"] ). This scholarship applies to all active students who achi

            academic results in the previous year. The scholarship is awarded to students with the bes
            which is calculated as an arithmetic average of all grades the student achieved in the pre
            year.


            Scholarship for Outstanding Academic AchievementConditions
            • Scholarship for Outstanding Academic Achievement is administered by the Faculty of Human

              intended for students with excellent study results. The scholarship is paid out annually
              a lump-sum payment.
            • Students who are enrolled in study as of November 30 and received at least 5 grades in t

              academic year are eligible for the scholarship. This means that students who have gradua
              or interrupted their studies as of November 30 are not eligible.
            • All eligible students are considered automatically - they do not need to apply for the s

            • Students who will receive the scholarship will be chosen by December 15. These students

            • The scholarship is paid out during the following January.

            * Other Sources of Scholarships and Funding

            Other options of funding your studies can be found through national governments and other 
            institutions. The Czech Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports (MEYS) [ URL "https://msm

            offers scholarships to foreign students and researchers. These scholarships are based on e
            and agreements between the Czech Republic and other countries. They last anywhere between 
            and each of them defines specific eligibility criteria. More information about scholarship

            The MEYS also offers scholarships from the International Visegrad Fund. Established in 200

            promote closer co-operation between the four Visegrad Group countries – Czech Republic, Sl
            and Poland. The program offers various types of grants for different shareholders; the Vis
            is intended for Master’s and Doctoral students. These scholarships are awarded not only to

            from the Visegrad countries but also to applicants from Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bela
            Herzegovina, Croatia, Georgia, North Macedonia, Moldova, Monte Negro, Serbia and Ukraine,
