Work Experience (selection)

  • 2011–present: Academic Employee. Faculty of Humanities at Charles University in Prague (Czech Republic). Since August 2015  Head of the Department of General Anthropology

  • 2009–2011 (plus further external cooperation): Foreign News Desk Editor. Czech News Agency (CTK), Prague (Czech Republic). Collecting information and writing news focused on global politics and diplomacy. Monitoring world's leading media outlets and social media. The area of main interest: southern Europe and Latin America.

  • 2005–2016: seasonal tour guide. National Heritage Institute (NPU), Karlstejn Castle, (Czech Republic). Providing historical and cultural tours in Czech, English and German at a Gothic castle in Central Bohemia.

  • 2002–2009: Lecturer (2002 - 2009) and Deputy Curator (2008 - 2009). Hrdlicka Museum of Man, Faculty of Science at Charles University in Prague (Czech Republic). Preparation and organization of meetings and conferences, giving lectures at the museum, analysing exhibits.

Education

  • 2010: Doctor's Degree in Anthropology. Thesis title: The Use- wear Analysis  applied to the Chipped Stone Industry from Bohemian Neolithic Sites Bylany, Miskovice, Mšeno and Tachlovice. Nominee for Bolzano Price, CU in Prague 2010.

  • 2004: Master's Degree in Anthropology (Summa cum laude)

  • 2001: Bachelor's Degree in Humanities
