Work Experience

  • 2003–present: Faculty of Humanities, Charles University: Chair of the department (from September 2010 - October 2012 and 2016 - cont), teacher and researcher, focus on issues of civil society, immigration policies in the context of social policy and human rights, political theories of multiculturalism, role of EU institutions in the related issues, extreme social exclusion, social exclusion and gender, Roma women, Roma community.

  • 2015–2016: Visiting scholar at University of California Berkeley, USA, School of Social Welfare on Fulbright scholarship.

  • 2009–2010: Executive director of the Czech Helsinki Committee, Teaching and managing agenda

  • 2002–2009: Ph.D. at Charles University, Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Social and Public Policy, focus on immigration and integration policies of the Czech Republic and the EU in relation to civil society organizations
