  • The CU Security Department has issued a leaflet for students and staff of the University summarising basic and important information on how to respond in the event of various security incidents.

  • Charles University will continue to provide organisational, material, and psychological support to all those in need and urges everyone who feels any need for psychological assistance to utilise available services. Such assistance is offered not only by CU and other entities (information can be found here) but also by the free Crisis Line of the Czech Police: +420 974 823 158. Please do not hesitate to seek help.

  • The university leadership, including the leadership of individual faculties and components, is actively addressing the question of appropriate reinforcement of security measures. At the same time, the CU Security Department's hotline +420 771 275 564 will start operating on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The University is preparing and will shortly publish important information and procedures on how to respond in the event of various security incidents.

    All counselling services are free of charge for CU students and staff.

    Interested parties can contact individual counsellors according to the description of the issue they are focusing on - from academic problems, to relationship, personality, speech therapy, as well as counselling arising from disabilities and special educational needs (e.g. specific learning disabilities).

    The Soul Care Centre combines spiritual accompaniment, counselling and therapy. It organizes interactive courses, discussion platforms, public lectures, seminars and other events in this field. It offers care for the inner life, resilience, value orientation and interpersonal relationships.
