Peter Wagner is the author of several books on the Sociology of modernity, including:
Modernity as experience and interpretation: a new sociology of modernity (2008)
A sociology of modernity: liberty and discipline (1993)
He is a former Professor of Social and Political Theory at the European University Institute, Florence and a Research Professor at the University of Barcelona.
