Spring changes to our building operations which make it more convenient


In recent days you may have noticed some changes in the faculty. As Dean Sokolová wrote you in her e-mail, since the beginning of April there have been developments in our building.


At the end of March, the faculty launched a new concept for the reception desk at the main entrance, which is aimed at better providing the services that the reception desk provides to our students and staff, as well as to all other visitors to the faculty. The receptionists - our students - are mainly responsible for navigating and communicating with visitors to the faculty in both Czech and English and for information contact with the Dean's Office. Since 1 April, PhD students of the FHS have had access to a newly established and fully furnished PhD room (0.39). It is located behind the Jan Sokol Auditorium with the entrance on the right side of the auditorium. Doctoral students have at their disposal a computer connected to Wi-Fi with a printer, tables, chairs and whiteboards for work as well as two couches. Access to the PhD room has been automatically uploaded to the ISIC cards of all PhD students in the 1st - 4th year of Ph.D. studies; PhD students in higher years should email if they are interested in accessing the room.


The glass lecture rooms 0.02 and 0.03 have opaque strips on the back and side walls now. The front of the classrooms facing the atrium remain transparent and open.
