During the second week of March, Dr. Felix Borecký from the Department of Theory of Art and Artworks will speak at the Faculté des Lettres of the French university Sorbonne. First, on Wednesday, March 13, he will present the works of the so-called mašíbls (MAgoři, ŠÍlenci a Blázni - different words for lunatics or fools) as a significant phenomenon of Czech culture, which has its roots at least in the 19th century and flourished especially in the 20th century, where it developed as a legitimate aspect of creative freedom. The following day, i.e., March 14, Dr. Borecký will be the guest of the Master's course Dissidence et création (Dissent and creation), where he will talk about the naive poetry of V. S. Plumovský and the general framework of the underground discovery of "amazing idiots."
