The Department of Historical Sociology, Faculty of Humanities, CU cordially invites you to a lecture "Max Weber, Islam and Rationalization" by Prof. Toby E. Huff.

The issue of Islam belongs to the unrealized parts of Weber's comparative project. There are different views on whether we can apply the Weber model of rationalization in this case. The lecture will be dedicated to the question of Islam and Islamism in this context.
