Mgr. Zita Skořepová, Ph.D.

Zita Skořepová (1987) earned her PhD in anthropology at the Faculty of Humanities, Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic (2015). Her dissertation, Viennese Czechs and their music in the 21^st century from an ethnomusicological perspective, deals with musical activities of contemporary Viennese Czech minority in relation to different migrant situation of its members. Main topics of interest: music and identity formation and negotiation, music and migration. In addition to her scholar activities, she performs Hebrew and Yiddish songs.
