UPDATE: The exhibition is suspended until February 6, 2022. Thank you for your comprehension.
On November 30, 2021, a historic exhibition "Behind the Water, between Černá and Bílá Skála… From local Vltava modern and contemporary history on the border of Holešovice, Libeň and Troja" was installed at the faculty lobby.
The project was realized at the Department of Oral History – Contemporary History and at the Department of Historical Studies under the direction of Pavel Mücke.
The exhibition in the form of 12 panels captures key moments from the locality on the border of today's Prague 7, Prague-Troja and Prague 8, which houses the university campus CU – CTU and the FHS headquarters.
The exhibition was created by analysing and interpreting available literature, but also from a set of selected archival sources and also public and private historical-documentary collections (especially photographs).
The main goal of this project is to acquaint members of the academic community, but also the general public with an insight into the modern and contemporary history of the locality. This historical excursion should contribute not only to the expansion of professional knowledge, but also to the potential "rapprochement" with the local environment and stimulate interest in its further development.
The opening ceremony was postponed due to the epidemiological situation; however, it should take place later in January / February 2022. The exhibition is open till March 2022.
