Piloting of the "Intercultural Management" international module launched

On March 29, 2016, the Department of Management and Supervision in Social and Health Care Organizations, Faculty of Humanities, CU started to pilot the "Intercultural Management" international master module. The module is held in English within the CareMan project (Development of Culture and Quality of Care – Master's Degree Programmes Enhancing Social and Health Care Management Competencies). The project is funded by the Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP) of the European Union. The module is led by Zuzana Havrdová in cooperation with Lahti University of Applied Sciences (FI), Hämmelina University of Applied Sciences (FI), Edinburgh Napier University (UK) and Évora University (PT).


The module’s aim is to develop cultural sensitivity and improve the participants’ skills to effectively manage multidisciplinary teams in a culturally diverse environment of health and social care services in contemporary Europe. The module includes an intensive learning week in May and the “Cross-cultural Management” international student conference.
