“The Politics of Gender Culture under State Socialism” book awarded BASEES Prize
"The Politics of Gender Culture under State Socialism" book (Routledge Research in Gender and Politics, 2014) edited by Hana Havelková and Libora Oates-Indruchová (Faculty of Humanities, CU) was awarded the BASEES (British association for Slavonic and east European studies) Women’s Forum Prize and came the best book of the year 2014 in the category Woman's Forum dedicated to gender and diversity in the East European, Russian and Eurasian region. BASEES is the UK national learned society for the study of Russia, Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. The main activity of the association is the annual conference, held normally in Cambridge, with over 400 participants.
