Declaration by the Faculty Management on the Situation in Belarus

We are concerned about the brutality of President Lukashenko's regime against its opponents in many places across Belarus. Such an approach towards the citizens of one's own country is unacceptable in a democratic world, just as the non-transparency elections and the falsification of their results. Many of our graduates and current students, as well as a few colleagues, come from Belarus - I would like to assure them of our support. I believe that democracy will succeed in Belarus as well as did in our country in 1989.
