Blanka Knotková-Čapková Received a Prestigious Indian Award in Comparative Literature

Doc. Blanka Knotková-Čapková, a member of the Department of Sociology, FHS CU, and a teacher of the Gender Studies programme, received a prestigious Indian award in literature called "Subankim Chattopadhyay Memorial Bankim Chandra International Literary Award" for 2022.

The international literary award is the highest prize awarded by the government of the West Bengal Indian republic government in comparative Indian literature. It has been awarded since 1975 in honour of the famous Bengali writer of the 19^th century Bankim Chandra Chattopadhayay.
