This conference seeks to understand Hume's science of man from the perspective not only of his epistemology and philosophy of mind, but also of his ethics, political theory, history and his reflections on natural religion.

Wenceslas was the duke of Bohemia from 921 until his assassination in 935. He was murdered on Sptember 28 by his younger brother Boleslaus the Cruel. Immediately after his death Wenceslas was considered a martyr and a saint.
