QS World University Rankings by Subject

According to the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2018, 19 subjects of Charles University belong to the world's top. The subject "Philosophy" taught at the Faculty of Humanities finished 50.–101., "History", "Linguistics" and "Sociology" finished 151.–200., "Arts and Humanities" 193. and "Environmental Science" and "Economics & Econometrics" 251.–300.

Call for Papers: Workshop on Multisensual Methods

Faculty of Humanities invites you to the interdisciplinary workshop on multisensual methods with Yasmin Gunaratnam.This workshop seeks to explore the generativity, implications, challenges and (in)sensibilities of methodological practices, including but not limited to emerging forms of precarity, dispossession and vulnerability.

We invite abstracts (250 words) for contributions and interventions in a variety of formats and encourage presentations of work-in-progress for this one-day workshop. Proposals are to be submitted to sensualmethods@gmail.com by 20 March 2018. Presenters will be notified by 30 March 2018. Exhibition: A Change of Shapes

The Cultural House in Holice organizes an exhibition of Aleš Svoboda (the head of the Department of Arts, FHS). The exhibition "A Change of Shapes. A Tribute to Karel Malich" takes place in the gallery of the Cultural House (Holubova 768, Holice) from March 3 to March 30, 2018.
