UPCES and CET Courses

From September 2016 on, most of the UPCES and CET courses will change their status from compulsory optional courses to optional courses. This sets a limit on the number of these courses in your study curriculum: only 26 credits can be obtained from optional courses in the total amount of credits gained during the whole study.

Then you should not miss the new course taught by Craig A. Morgan. It is highly recommended for all students studying in English, even for native speakers.

More Credits for Courses

From winter semester on, most of the English courses taught at bachelor study programme will be valued four credits instead of two. This will allow students to pick less courses in order to gain the necessary amount of credits per semester. The number of credits should correspond to the amount of required study (hours per week). In other words, a four-credit course will require the same amount of work as two two-credit courses.

First Graduates of Intercultural Management Course

From March 21 to July 15, 2016, five European universities involved in the CareMan project had been offering the optional course “Intercultural Management”.  In total, 25 students enrolled into the course, 24 participated in the whole course and 17 successfully defended their thesis. 

Besides the Faculty of Humanities, there were students from two Finnish universities - Hämmelinna University of Applied Sciences and Lahti University of Applied Sciences - from Scottish Edinburgh’s Napier University and from the University of Évora, Portugal.
