The Department for Asylum and Immigration Policy of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic today opened a new branch of the Foreigners’ Residence Unit on the premises of the Charles University Komenského Student Residence. This gives international students another option for arranging their residency documents for the Czech Republic.
The centre will serve students coming to study at Charles University and other universities in Prague, and will also serve non-European Union nationals.

Institute of Liberal Arts and Humanities, Institute of Master Degree Study Programmes and Institute of PhD Study Programmes were canceled. Departments previously belonging to the above mentioned institutes continue to be a part of the Faculty. The immediate superior of the departments’ heads is the dean of the Faculty.

On June 4, 2015, vice-dean for science and research Marek Skovajsa and vice-dean for master studies Marie Dohnalová welcomed representatives from Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and informed them about the research activities at the Faculty, about the Department of Civil Society Studies and about the Czech concept of social entrepreneurship.
OECD is an international organization of 34 economically most developed countries in the world.

From June 1, 2015 the new Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Charles University in Prague Marie Pětová was appointed.

Professor Jan Bouzek, Faculty of Humanities and Faculty of Arts, received the gold medal of Charles University for his lifetime achievement in the area of development and preservation of Classical Archaeology at the Faculty of Arts.
