From June 29th to July 3rd, an international conference will be held at the faculty on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the death of the Enlightenment philosopher David Hume, organized by the Faculty of Humanities and the Institute of Philosphy of the Czech Academy of Sciences. Hume is considered the most important English-language philosopher and his ideas regarding the theory of knowledge, ethics, political and economic philosophy, history, and theory of art are still followed by a number of philosophical schools and continue to be the subject of numerous critical discussions. His work is also studied by many historians of philosophy around the world. The conference will be attended by about 80 researchers from 17 countries. Don't miss out!
Admission is free for students and employees of the Faculty of Humanities.
