Irena Řehořová holds a PhD in Sociology and a MA in Media and Communication Studies. At the Department of Electronic Culture and Semiotics she teaches courses "Social Theories of New Media", "Media and Cultural Memory", "Media and Visual Image Theory", and also provides MA supervision. Her research fields are sociology of culture and media, visual studies and cultural memory. In 2016, she joined the Centre for Collective Memory Research.
