Erasmus Master Mundus (EuroPhilosophie)

The Erasmus Master Mundus “German and French Philosophy in the European Context” (EuroPhilosophie) offers a specialized advanced course of study for two years in the fields of German and French philosophy and their interaction in European intellectual and cultural space.


Over the course of two years, the students selected by the EuroPhilosophie Selection Commitee study for one to two semesters in three of the 9 universities associated in this programme. The EuroPhilosophie Consortium is formed by 6 European and 3 Extra-European universities (Université Toulouse Jean-Jaurès, Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn , Bergische Universität Wuppertal , Université catholique de Louvain , Universidade de Coimbra, Univerzita Karlova, Hosei University , University of Memphis, Universidade Federal de Sao Carlos). Upon successful final school-leaving examinations, each student is awarded a Master’s degree from each of the three universities participating in the Consortium EuroPhilosophie.


Grants

Each year, the EuroPhilosophie Selection Committee selects students who can apply for a study grant depending on their country of origin. The number of grants from the ERASMUS + funds is limited. Please click here to see all application options.


  • Students from ERASMUS + Member Countries (member states of the EU + Iceland, Liechtenstein, Macedonia, Norway and Turkey): 14 800 € per year, out of which 1 800 € per year are paid for tuition fees.

  • Students from ERASMUS + Partner Countries (list available here) : between 20 900 € and 21 900 € per year, out of which 6 400 € per year are paid for tuition fees.


Erasmus Master Mundus EuroPhilosophie also offers special scholarship for students from specific countries. Please consult the official webpage for more information.

Application Form

The application form for European and non-European students can be downloaded on the EuroPhilosophie website. The admission procedure is coordinated by the Université de Toulouse. The application form will have to be addressed to the coordinating University of Toulouse before January 21, 2020.


Students enrolling in the Master’s Program EuroPhilosophie must have a Licence or a Bachelors degree in Philosophy (180 ECTS) or equivalent qualifications. A command of written and spoken German and/or French is also required. For students who have a written and spoken command of one of the two languages only, a required language course will be given as part of the Master Mundus program.
