Milan Hanyš studied Liberal Arts nad Humanities (B.A.), social and philosophical anthropology (M.A.) and general anthropology with a specialization in philosophy (PhD) at the Charles University. During his studies, he completed study and research stays in Germany (TU Dresden, Universität Bayreuth) and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna (2018-2019). From 2015 to 2018, he was the chairman of the academic senate of FHS CU, from 2017 to 2023, he led the bachelor's study program Liberal Arts and Humanities. He holds the Josef Hlávka Award and the Jaroslav Krejčí Award. His research and teaching interests are primarily intellectual history and political philosophy. In the years 2021 to 2024, he is the the principal investigator of the research project: Felix Weltsch, Jindřich Kohn and intellectual history in interwar Czechoslovakia funded by Czech Academy for Research Funding (GAČR).
