CU Student Card

In order to get access to Charles University facilities and services, students need the Charles University Student Card.

The Student Card enables you to use university libraries, CU canteens and dorms, internet as well as provide access to some student discounts including a season ticket for prague public transport.


  • Exchange students collect their CU Student Cards on the first day of the Orientation Programme after their regisration at the Faculty of Humanities.

  • Along with the CU student card, you will also collect your Charles University CAS login information for accessing the Student Information System (SIS) as well as other online platforms and services at CU.


There are two main types of CU student cards and you may decide which one you prefer.

1. CU Student card (free of charge)


2. CU Student card with the ISIC licence (for an extra charge of CZK 320) that in addition enables you to get a wider range of discounts (e.g. for culture, sport, travel, bookshops and other (e-)shops or in some restaurants etc.). To get an overview of the discounts covered by the ISIC card, you may visit the ISIC cards website.
