Fakulta humanitních studií Univerzity Karlovy a Oddělení etnomuzikologie a etnochoreologie Etnologického ústavu Akademie věd ČR zvou na přednášku (4. 10.) a workshop (5. 10. 2022) Davida Rothenberga, amerického hudebního filosofa z New Jersey Institute of Technology a muzikanta, který se proslavil mj. konceptem zoomuzikologie (viz např. jeho knihy Bug Music a Nightingales in Berlin). Tématem vystoupení je „On Music and Nature. Can music make difference to nature?“.
V úterý 4. října 2022 vystoupí ve 14:30 hod. s přednáškou „Biodiversity Crisis as Musical Oportunity. Why Make Music with Other Species?“, která proběhne v sídle na FHS (Pátkova 5, Praha 8 – Libeň) v aule Jana Sokola.
David Rothenberg a professor of philosophy and music at the New Jersey Institute of Technology known for his performance and books, making music live with nightingales, humpback whales, seventeen-year cicadas and unknown pond creatures, explains how this kind of music expands humanity‘s care and value for other species, and thereby marks one small way to make a difference in a time when many species on Earth, including our own, are threatened an in danger.
