The meeting of the AS FHS UK on 8 February was a constituent meeting and a new board was elected.

J. Wohlmuth Markupová was again elected as the Chairperson of the Senate. T. Chavalková Badurová was re-elected Vice-Chairperson for the student chamber. J. Tuček was elected as the new Vice-Chairman for the Academic Staff Chamber.

The Senate also approved the Plan of Implementation of the Strategic Plan of the Faculty of Humanities of Charles University for 2024 and discussed the draft text of the Dean's measures on the framework principles of career development, support and evaluation of academic and scientific staff and lecturers at the Faculty of Humanities of Charles University.

On February 1, 2024, the Senate was partially replaced by the November 2023 elections.

As of 31.1.2024, the senatorial positions of S. Csanda (student curia), H. Novotná (teachers' curia), M. Pražáková Seligová (teachers' curia), M. Pustková (students' curia) and M. Zandlová (teachers' curia).

We thank them for the work they have done for the Senate during their tenure.

The new members of the Teachers' Curia as of 1 February 2024 are M. Heřmanský (mandate until 31 January 2027), A. Novák (mandate until 31 January 2027) and J. Tuček (mandate until 31 January 2027). The new members of the Students' Curia are L. Kalabisová (mandate until 31 January 2026) and K. Zamrazilová (mandate until 31 January 2026).

M. Krofta (Student Curia, mandate until 31 January 2026) has renewed his mandate. The above-mentioned Senator continues his work for the Senate.

The new Senate Bureau will be elected at the constituent meeting of the Senate in February. Until then, the current Bureau will remain in office.

At the meeting of the AS FH CU on 14 September, the Senate expressed its agreement with the proposals of Dean V. Sokolová to appoint a new bursar of the faculty, a new Research Board of the faculty and new members of the Disciplinary Board of the faculty. The date and conditions of the regular elections to the AS FH CU 2023 were set and the election commission was appointed in this connection. The Dean informed the Senate about the events during the summer holidays and plans for the next period. Furthermore, the admission conditions for undergraduate degree programmes for the academic year 2024/2025, changes in the accreditation of the OHSD degree programme and the application for accreditation in the field of Applied Middle Ages education (Erasmus Mundus) were approved.
