In accordance with the Directive of the Rector of Charles University No. 10/2022, I issue this directive of the Dean.

Article 2: Schedule

9. Dates for submission of the dissertation and application for the state doctoral examination in doctoral studies and subsequent dates of state doctoral examinations and defences:

   It is possible to apply for the state doctoral examination and to submit the dissertation at any time during the entire academic year (summer holidays are an exception); however, according to the Study and Examination Regulations of Charles University, the date of the state doctoral examination and defence may be set individually after agreement with the student. The thesis must be submitted at least half a year before its planned defence.

   
   

Article 3: Final Provisions

1. This directive shall enter into force on the date of signature.

2. This directive shall enter into force on 1 July 2022.

3. By this directive, Dean's directives No. 10/2021 and No. 2/2022 are repealed with effect from 1 October 2022.
