An interdisciplinary journal focusing primarily on the issues of long-term social processes and trends, modernization, globalization tendencies and impacts, while taking the perspectives of sociology, political science and history. The magazine creates a broader platform for researchers in the historical social sciences. Epistemological field is not strictly bounded, it is also meant to overlap with civilization studies, cultural sociology and others related fields.
The journal is published by Charles University in Prague in cooperation with the Faculty of Humanities. Selected articled are published in English.

Reviewed scientific journal dedicated to anthropological studies with emphasis on urban issues, and related Social Sciences and Humanities. It is the only anthropological journal in the country. It is published three times a year, twice in Czech (in May and in December) and once in English (in September).

The journal focuses on the history of historiography, methodology and its transformation, with an emphasis on polemical nature and criticism.
Between 2004–2010 the journal was published by Masaryk Institute, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in cooperation with the Institute for Contemporary History, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and the Faculty of Humanities, Charles University in Prague. Faculty of Humanities, Charles University in Prague became the exclusive publisher in 2011. The journal is published twice a year.
