Lecture "Doing Ethnomusicology at Cambridge"
Ethnomusicology Program, Faculty of Humanities cordially invites you to a lecture by Dr. Ruth Davis (University of Cambridge) "Doing Ethnomusicology at Cambridge". The lecture takes place in Vokovice on April 18 at 11:00 am. The lecture is held within the Introduction into Musical Anthropology course.
Dr. Ruth Davis is Life Fellow in Ethnomusicology at Corpus Christi College, University of Cambridge. She was appointed to the first University position in ethnomusicology in the Faculty of Music in 1983. And she is also a member of the Center for Recherche en Ethnomusicology (CREM-CNRS) at the Université Paris Nanterre. She has published extensively on music of the Mediterranean, focusing particularly on Arabic and Jewish music.
