The Faculty of Humanities, the History - Theory – Criticism Journal and the Department of Comenius Studies and Early Modern Intellectual History are pleased to invite students and staff to a lecture by Dr. Andrey Griesebner (Universität Wien): Wives for Divorce - Husbands for Cohabitation. Marriage Litigations in Austria from the 16th to the 20th Century.
The lecture will present "Ehen vor Gericht. Eheprozesse zwischen dem 16. und 19. Jahrhundert", a multi-year project dealing with marriage litigations before early modern courts.
The lecture takes place at the Institute of Philosophy (Jilská 1, Prague 1) from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday, November 8. The lecture and the following discussion will be held in English.
