An introduction to one of the oldest Norse sagas, Jómsvíkinga saga, with an emphasis on its literary context, specifically its relationship with heroic legends and legendary sagas.
Þórdís Edda Jóhannesdóttir is a lecturer at the University of Iceland. Her research activities focus on Icelandic literature.
