We invite you to the workshop Ecology and the Politics of Ontology, which will take place on October 20, 2025, from 14:30 to 17:30 at Faculty of Humanities, room 1.02.
Stine Krøijer will explain main concepts around Amerindian perspectivism, equivocation, recursiveness and ontological politics. She is an associate professor at the Department of Anthropology, University of Copenhagen, Denmark. Her work addresses questions of climate change and trees, activism, agro-industry and multispecies relationships in Northern Europe and Latin America.
Stine Krøijer has worked with the performative aspects of protests, time and political cosmology among climate activists, anarchists and among indigenous peoples in the Ecuadorian Amazon. The research shows how trees are not just a passive backdrop for people’s projects, but perceived as actants that are actively involved in creating change.
Capacity is limited, please RVSP via the form HERE.
