The Faculty of Humanities invites you to a workshop by Professor Niko Besnier (University of Amsterdam) "Grant Proposal Writing". The workshop takes place at the FHS (room No. YT003) on Monday, June, 27 at 4.00 PM.
Applying for funding is as mysterious an endeavor as deep-sea fishing is among the Trobrianders. Based on my own experience of both failure and success in applying for funding in several national and regional contexts, this workshop attempts to demystify the process and to present for discussion some guidance in grant proposal writing, with a particular focus on ERC funding.
Niko Besnier is a Professor of Cultural Anthropology at the University of Amsterdam, an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Social Inquiry at La Trobe University, Melbourne and in the summer term of 2022 a guest Professor at the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology. He runs there two courses:
Culture as an Anthropological Concept
Sport: Pleasure and Violence, Competition and Sociality.
