RESEARCH AREAS

I am a sociologist of science and technology who conducts ethnographic research on institutional reforms and related issues of autonomy and social inclusion/exclusion of people identified as cognitively disabled

I am interested in the theoretical issues related to the tension between modern and non-modern ways of organizing ("ordering") institutions and their social science research

In my research practice, I develop the theoretical foundations of actor-network theory, the genealogy of the modern subject (M. Foucault) and symbolic interactionism

I focus on the socio-materiality of care and its power, political and ethical contexts, and I am interested in the existential geographies of social inclusion/exclusion of people identified as disabled
