How to vote?
You don't have to go anywhere, the elections are done electronically. You can conveniently choose from anywhere with Internet access. Starting next Tuesday, a live version of the election application will be launched at https://volby.fhs.cuni.cz. Simply log in and you can vote. It'll take you a few seconds.
Who Elects Who?
The Academic Senate of the Faculty is divided into a student chamber (which consists only of students) and a chamber of academic staff (which consists of academic staff - usually teachers).
Students can only elect their representatives to the Student Chamber, they cannot vote for the Academic Chamber.
Students select 3 of their Senate representatives from a total of 8 student candidates.
On the other hand, only academics are elected to the Academic Staff Chamber. They cannot vote for student candidates. Teachers select 3 of their representatives in the Senate from a total of 6 academic candidates.

Your opportunity to nominate candidates for elections to the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Humanities was valid until 25 November 11:00 a.m.
We would like to thank all those who decided to propose their candidate for the election to the Academic Senate of the Faculty.
The final list of all candidates will be published no later than Monday 2 December.
The elections will take place electronically on 3-6 December 2019. Follow also the FB of the Student Chamber of the Academic Senate of the Faculty.
The elections to the academic senate of the faculty is fast approaching. We would like to remind you that you can nominate your candidates until Monday, 25 November by 11 a.m. at the latest. You can submit your nominations in writing in the mailroom of the faculty (University site Jinonice, building B, 5. floor, office 5005) or electronically at .
Nominations must include:
Identification of the petitioner(s) - name, surname, personal ID No. i.e. UKČO or UČO.
Identification of the candidate(s) - name, surname, personal ID No. i.e. UKČO or UČO.
Consent of the candidate(s). - If the consent is not attached to the candidacy, the Electoral Commission will seek to obtain it separately.
The final list of candidates will be published no later than Monday, 2 December.

The Academic Senate of Faculty of Humanities Charles University ("academic senate of the faculty") announces elections to the academic senate of the faculty on 3 - 6 December 2019. The academic senate of the faculty establishes an electronic election method.
The term of office of newly elected academic senators shall begin on 1 February 2020 and end on 31 January 2023. The term of office of the newly elected student senators shall begin on 1 February 2020 and end on 31 January 2022. (Resolution No. 423)
Academic senate of the faculty sets up an electoral commission composed of Jiří Tourek (chairman), Milan Hanyš (member for academics), Hedvika Novotná (alternate member for academics), Felix Geisler (member for students), Agáta Hrdličková (member for students), Magdalena Voldřichová (alternate member for students). The electoral commission will inform you of the course of the elections and the nomination of candidates.
