Timea Crofony is a sociocultural anthropologist. Her research focuses primarily on the anthropology of Jews; the ethnographic study of the politics of desire and intimacy; gender and feminist theories; conceptualizations of space; activism from “women’s” positions; the construction and lived experience of identities; and questions of belonging.
During her doctoral studies, she completed study visits, research stays, and fellowships at the University of Oxford, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and Tel Aviv University.
Previously, she worked as a lawyer and as a gender expert and lecturer for research organizations and universities.
