In my research, I focus on historical military reenactment in the Czech lands, with a specific emphasis on World War II reenactment. I am interested in the historical subjectivities of people who relate to the past through affective-haptic practices and imitative performances of war events. I do so with the help of a methodological framework based primarily on the paradigm of post-positivist oral history and concepts of memory studies. I am also actively interested in other issues related to the study of contemporary history.
