The September issue of this prestigious social science journal Critique of Anthropology is very significant for the Faculty of Humanities - it was guest-edited by Mgr. Bohuslav Kuřík, Ph.D. from the Faculty's Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology. Dr. Kuřík authored the issue's introductory study1 and also co-authored a study with doctoral student at the Faculty, Mgr. Lucia Rončíková2. Titled "The promises and perils of more-than-human resistance", the issue is a key output of the ResisTerra project - a winner of the Charles University PRIMUS competition - led by Dr. Kuřík as the project's leader.
Other contributors to the issue from the ResisTerra project include Christopher M. Kelty from UCLA (who collaborated with Dr. Kuřík as an editor), Stine Krøijer from the University of Copenhagen, and Mateusz Laszczkowski from the University of Manchester. Furthermore, M. Laszczkowski will work as a visiting researcher at the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology during the 2026 winter semester.
